ABOUT PWAS
We are a stand alone group and have no affiliation with The British Horse Society
In September 2015 Debbie Smith started the petition Pass Wide & Slow ,due to an accident with a car, to date this petition has raised 148,351 signatures.

At the same time with the help of Christine and John Brindle (who have now sadly left) we set up a Facebook campaign group called Pass Wide & Slow to encourage other horse owners to sign and share the petition. John Brindle was instrumental in creating Pass Wide & Slow educational videos, parts of which are now used in the British Horse Society Dead Slow Campaign.
Diane Ford has also joined in a supportive role for co-ordinating and managing the awareness ride/drives

23rd February 2016 with the support of my MP Derek Thomas we handed the petition over at a meeting with the Transport Minister.
June 2016 the petition was debated in Parliament

Debbie suggested we needed to raise awareness in local areas. Then the idea of the awareness rides/ drives located all around the country came into play

We encourage rides to wear Hi-Viz and wear hat cameras to report to the police any incidents people may have whilst out riding
